2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. knowing ahead of time author Holly Nadler and her breezy and fun writing style By Barbara E Barber I planned to read this book a little at bedtime every night so as to savor the book, knowing ahead of time author Holly Nadler and her breezy and fun writing style. I soon found it was a daunting task since I could not put the book down as easily as I planned so engaging were the chapters. I was thinking of the book and looked forward to my bedtime read during my daytime hours!Emily Dickinson, immersed in a tale that brought her to life and left me feeling she was my new best friend. I hated it when I got sleepy and had to cut my time with my best friend short. I wanted to read on and yet I wanted to have this new world to go to every night. It became my new refuge of wonder and adventure. I wanted it to last longer. It took discipline on my part to meet out the chapters to make it so.My new little reading escape down the rabbit hole with Emily in Wonderland was a pleasure I'm not sorry to have experienced. Delightful!

I love Holly Nadler By Carolyn I love Holly Nadler...anything she has written from Laverne and Shirley to Emily: In The Here And Now is worth your time and attention. This book is a little spiritual, a little weird science and a little adventurous. Her characters are believable, funny and sometimes even otherworldly. She never disappoints.

By Amazon Customer Emily: In The Here And Now is a wonderfully entertaining tale of a literary legend in the modern world. Ms. Nadler does Ms. Dickinson proud by taking readers on a humorous, intelligent, and extremely thoughtful fish-out-of-water journey. All of the characters, especially the ex husbands, are beautifully and deeply drawn and serve as a great ensemble around the famous Dickinson. The use of Emily's poetry throughout is a great device and enjoyable whether you are familiar with her work or not. This is a very fresh and fun read that I'd highly recommend to adults of all ages!
