Manuel Bermúdez Romero nació en Ciudad Ojeda, Venezuela. Es comunicador social y autor de dos libros de temática socio petrolera titulados "PDVSA en carne propia" y "Cabimas. Reventón de ilusiones idas". Escribió esas obras con asidero en su experiencia petrolera vivencial y comunicacional. Al inicio de su carrera periodística hizo reporterismo en el diario Panorama y fue reportajista en el mensuario Respuesta, ambas publicaciones asentadas en Venezuela. Por veinticuatro años laboró en comunicaciones corporativas en la industria petrolera de su país, donde desempeñó -en Asuntos Públicos- posiciones gerenciales de jurisdicción nacional y regional. En la actualidad, como periodista independiente, aborda temas noticiables aplicando diversos géneros del periodismo y los cuales publica en su bitácora Contextos http://contextos.blogia.com y en el portal Analítica.com. El autor se ha propuesto la indagación literaria y la redacción de cuentos. "Oleajes" es el más reciente fruto de su dedicación a las letras.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. I really enjoyed this book By Amazon Customer I really enjoyed this book. I love the short-story format, so it is right in my alley. Being from Venezuela and being also myself an immigrant in North America, I can relate to so many aspects of the narrative. I was particularly attracted to the mysterious sides of some of the stories, chance, destiny and even the supernatural. A reflection on how life can change drastically by the decisions we take everyday. I have already bought another copy for my mother.

I enjoyed the variety of stories and also the length of them, just perfect. I also enjoyed the stories that took place in Venezuela (where I am from), but could easily relate to the ones that took place in other parts of Latin America as well as the United States (where I live now). I would recommend this book and plan to share it with friends!
