By SGL The leader - This man was illegitimate and uneducated, hysterical and superstitious. He gathered about him a crowded following of those who had been discontented but whom he turned into fanatics. He imposed upon his people absolute despotism. He honeycombed society with spies. He imprisoned, tortured and executed without trial or check and while all this went on he received the most impassioned loyalty from his subject.I imagine you get the picture Leinster is painting with this well written interesting short story.
