By Alex Canton-Dutari Two of my youngest grandchildren were watching a very old cartoon, which reminded me very much of the story of Rip Van Winkle. After telling them about it I searched the internet and found the story by Washington Irving, which I had never read. I corrected the sleep time memory I had of the main character's long escape -- from one hundred to twenty years. The story, which had an interesting background was interesting as part of the legends that stem from the old country.
