Great book for newbies and beginners By Andrew Gitt I have been spending a lot of time in novice gardening methods and the result was still a big zero. but this helped me a lot everything is placed properly and I really like the Author style how she took time to place everything perfectly..Kudos to that
5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. Too Basic for this Novice Gardener. Too Pricey for what it is. By BuyAlot I am a novice gardener who is starting raised beds this summer (2015). Much of the information in this $16 paperback can be located for free at the state university's extension. I did find some helpful tips on starting a new site (pages 10-11) and planting (pages 20-24). So I found 7 pages helpful out of a 50-some page book. For the price, I do not think this is worth the money. I do not recommend. If the price were lower, like under $10 then MAYBE I would want to buy it again, but not for $16. Look elsewhere or go to your university's extension online.

I didn't expect it to be so small it literally has 53 pages and it looks like a free pamphlet that you may pick up at a hardware store. I actually usually walk into bookstore, so I can look at these types of books in person, a huge mistake ordering online. I know for a fact that $17 or $18 you can buy a nice book filled with illustrations and full of information. I am a beginner gardener and I really don't know much at all, but the information I found this book was lacking. I found more information watching YouTube videos.
