By Raven I could find nothing on this title anywhere and as the author had written quite a few books, I took a chance.I spent most of the novel with my mouth open in shock. Not well written, almost seemed abbreviated and not a good job at that. What was shocking was it was set around the turn of the century in Charleston and was a nostalgic tome to the sad loss of having slaves. Our heroine came from Ireland to Charlton to find out she looked like a dead girl who had died after the Civil War. How she found love in a badly written book. No ghosts anywhere.

By John McAlexander III I have sought high and low for novels by Stacpoole because they are generally so well written and so descriptive. The Ghost Girl is among my favorite 3 Stacpoole novels that I have been able to FIND that Worked on my Kindle. The other 2 titles are The Beach of Dreams & The Pools of Silence. True, there are no Ghosts, per se,but The Ghost Girl is a fine example of early 20th Century Irish Literature.
