A happy heart By Heather I first found this book in a basement sale buying it for it's old worn cover reading it for the first time when I was 15 the first copy I had was lost in a fire. I have just now read it for the second time 15 years later and it moves me the same. I believe this book is a great example of American literature and every young woman should read it. I want to thank who ever it was that took the time to make this poor forgotten book an ebook. M a y the student's god bless you.
4 of 5 people found the following review helpful. A "good read" if you have lived in Ithaca NY. By David Hammer This book is set in and around Ithaca NY about 110 years ago. I would not have read it otherwise as I have lived in Ithaca for many years and was curious as to whether I might recognize the setting and maybe some of the activities depicted in the book. The answer was yes, which made it made it worth reading for me. It is unlikely that I would have finished it had I no connection to Ithaca, although I did find the ending worth the effort of getting there.
